Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes

*INGREDIENTS

°450g ground beef
°2 Tbsp butter
°1 small red bell pepper (cut into tiny dice)
°1 Onion (finely chopped)
°1 garlic clove (chopped)
°80ml ketchup
°80 ml chicken stock
°1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
°2 tsp chili spice blend (Old El Paso style)
°1 Tbsp brown sugar
°4 hamburger buns

*INSTRUCTIONS

In a hot skillet, heat some butter to brown the onions and peppers. After for 5 min, onions be start to turn translucent. At this point, add the garlic and continue to cook for 1 or 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside in a container.
In the same skillet, heat the rest of the butter to brown the beef and give it a nice color. A little advice: avoid touching the meat too often... It must have time to cling to the pan a little bit to get its color and not release all its water!
Season the meat with salt and pepper, skim off excess fat and water, then add the onions, bell pepper, garlic, chili mix, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, chicken broth and brown sugar.  Let the mixture simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

Adjust the taste one last time with salt and pepper, and serve in a lightly toasted hamburger bun. At table !

Enjoy !
