The Dorito Taco Salad is a delicious salad we've been serving at Potlakes for as long as I can remember!
The Dorito Taco Salad is the best potluck dish and always gets great reviews! Tons of ground beef, veggies, beans and Doritos in a tangy sauce!
Fry the minced meat until the pink color disappears. Strain any fat.
Stir in a bag of taco seasoning and water. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes. to calm down.
In a large bowl, combine lettuce, peppers, black olives, pinto beans, tomatoes, cheddar cheese and green onions.
Top with seasoned and cooled minced beef.
Gently crush Doritos and sprinkle on top. Drizzle with Catalina sauce and toss to coat evenly.
Garnish with sour cream and additional green onions, if desired.
Use immediately.
