Cream chipped beef on toast

°8 oz. Pieces of dried beef in a jar

°2 tbsp. unsalted butter

°2 tbsp. All-purpose flour

°1 c. milk

°½ c. heavy whipping cream

°pepper to taste

Melt the butter in a skillet or saucepan over medium heat on the stove.

Add the flour to the butter, and mix well for a minute or two until the taste of raw flour has softened.

Slowly whisk first the milk, then the whipped cream.

Add pepper to taste.

Bring mixture to a simmer over medium heat, whisking often to prevent burning.

Once the sauce is as thick as you like, add the beef to the skillet or saucepan and stir until combined. Cook an additional 3-5 minutes and serve with toast.

Enjoy !
